If you’re looking to upgrade your gaming rig with the latest hardware, Black Friday is your time. The holiday marks the best time of year to score deals on desktop computers, gaming laptops and even high-end PC monitors. We’re seeing some incredible discounts right now, including a super-powerful prebuilt rig for under $1,000 and $600 off the beastly RTX 4090-armed Alienware Aurora R16. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a hardcore enthusiast, there’s a great deal for everyone.
For those in the market for a new desktop gaming computer, the HP Omen 25L is a fantastic option. It’s currently $450 off on BestBuy’s site, making it the cheapest RTX 3070-equipped rig I’ve ever seen. And for more next-gen power, there are plenty of Dell and Alienware options on the market. If you’re more interested in a portable gaming PC, this Lenovo IdeaCentre AiO is a solid pick at $250 off. The Core i7 CPU and 4K display are both excellent specs for the price.
Similarly, the MSI GE Raider is a terrific choice for gamers on a budget. The RTX 3070 GPU delivers top-notch performance for a sub-$1,000 laptop. And the 17.3-inch 144Hz screen is more than capable of handling all of this year’s and next year’s top games.
If you’re more interested in a gaming laptop, this one from Asus is also worth considering. It’s not as powerful as some of the other Black Friday PC deals we’ve seen, but it’s still a good-value RTX 4070 laptop. And with a solid CPU, ample memory and plenty of storage space, this is a decent option for anyone who wants to game on the go.
While it may be tempting to buy a low-cost gaming PC and just hope that it can keep up with the latest games, it’s usually better to spend a little more on a system that will last you for a long time. That’s why we always recommend doing your research and choosing a system that has a motherboard with upgradability in mind. That way, you can replace components down the road without having to buy a completely new rig.
